Mission Bend Civic Town Hall Meeting
- A group of neighbors is banding together to fight back against crime in their area. People who live in the Mission Bend area say recently there have been a number of burglaries there and it’s time to do something. Fort Bend deputies investigating home invasion robbery, assault
- Deputies in Fort Bend County are trying to identify and track down a trio of teens who robbed and assaulted a couple at gunpoint in their home. The home invasion robbery happened around 9:30pm Friday in the 8200 block of Wind Grove Ct. in the Mission Glen subdivision.
- HOUSTON — There has been a rash of burglaries in the Mission Bend subdivision. Harris County sheriff’s deputies said there have been at least nine break-ins in the past six weeks. Most of the burglaries have happened between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., detectives said. The thieves have gotten into the homes through the back doors or windows, officials said.

The Greater Mission Bend Area Council Sponsored a Crime Watch Round Table Meeting Saturday, August 6th, 2011 at the Community Volunteer Fire Station located at 16003 Bellaire Blvd.
Approximate 30 Greater Mission Bend Area Resident attended and shared ideas as to how to form Crime Watch Programs for individual HOA’s that would be coordinated by GMBAC.

Two suspects wanted for convenience store robbery
- FORT BEND COUNTY, TX (KTRK) — Your help is needed to solve a crime in Fort Bend County. The incident happened at the Welcome Market convenience store in the 15000 block of Beechnut last Saturday. Two men armed with shotguns entered the store, tried to steal money from the register while also stealing wallets and money from customers. Police say one victim was kicked and the other was hit in the head with the butt of the gun.

- HOUSTON — (July 19, 2011) — Houston home sales rose for the second time this year in June, with the average price reaching an all-time high and the median price achieving the highest level in nearly two years. The sales increase reflects the slowdown in home purchases that set in a year ago following expiration of the home buyer tax credit. The credit triggered a surge in home buying during the spring of 2010 that resulted in slower sales volume during the remainder of that year.
