The GMBAC Plant Swap that is being held at George Bush Park on May 19th, a week from today!

Reminders:

• Plumeria Seed Contest
• Want to grow a vegetable garden in the back yard? Learn from an A&M expert!
• Want to set up a Pre-Trade? Check out the Trade Lists.
• Please support the Vendor who have donated Door Prizes!
• Alief Kerr High School National Honor Society students will be loading and unloading plants from vehicles for the 6^th year in a row!
  • The students are a major part of our Plant Swap Events and we thank Toni Maness-Richards and her students!!
• Check out the free Plants available to all Traders. See which ones will work best for you. Each Trader can choose one seeding.
  • The seedlings are smaller than usual this year.  I think the late spring is the reason.  But, they will continue to grow!
• It is important to label all plants that you are trading.
• At the end of the event an Orphan Pile will be set up for any plants that traders do not want to take back home. They are free to anyone who wants them.

The Plant Swap Rules are based on being considerate, thoughtful, fair and showing common courtesy.

If you will be bringing a large number of plants, please let us know by sending an email to DonnaKinerd@PROTECTED. Otherwise, tables space will be shared with up to 3 people. Because of the freeze, most people don’t have a lot of plants to share this year. Keep in mind that anything plant related can be used to barter with.

We have the largest number of registered Swappers for this year’s Event that we have had in 6 years. That means more trade items and an opportunity to meet more new Plant Friends!

But, if you are not going to be able to attend, it is very important and common courtesy to cancel and give your table space to someone else. If you will not be able to attend please send an email to DonnaKinerd@PROTECTED today.
