Focus on recruiting and working with local businesses, churches & community organizes.

Group discounts for HOA’s and Homeowners
Contacting and working with area businesses and service providers that are willing to give a discount to GMBAC Member HOA’s and residents of the member HOA’s.
In return for a discount, member business, will be listed on the GMBAC Service Provider List which will also be a part of the GMBAC Newsletter with exposure to the 65,000 residents living in the Greater Mission Bend Area.
GMBAC will market the discounts on a special Discount Web-Page that will focus on the discounts that are being offered.

Event Committee
Focus on sponsoring community events that bring everyone together and benefit local causes like schools.
Past and future events include political events, with local elected officials as guest speakers, Family Events, Annual Plant Swap Event and HOA Educational/Legal Up-Date Events. Also, suggestions for future events include, food drives, toy drives, back to school event and a street festival.

Awareness Campaign
The focus will be to prepare and send out a newsletter with up-dates on events and projects that committees are working on, ideas under consideration as well as to solicit community ideas and volunteers.

Fundraising
Focus on the procedures involved to soliciting funds and donations from area businesses to help support events sponsored by GMBAC.
In return for donations from local businesses, the business will be marketed on the GMBAC Website.
Check out the feasibility and what is involved in applying for grants that will benefit the community.
Build a relationship with local businesses to make our community safer and more user friendly.

Crime
Focus on ways that businesses and residents can work together to fight crime. Check out the possibility of using grant money that would help pay for additional crime protection.
Continue to build Neighborhood Watch activities and relationships with law enforcement.
