Crime Prevention Town Hall Meeting

- Mission Bend resident aims to battle urban blight in area
- Michael Martin seeks to wrest his Mission Bend neighborhood from urban decay and give pride back to property owners — including himself — who live there. He is being aided in that mission by a few neighbors who are beginning to attend meetings and join an e-mail list of residents. They share Martin’s concerns about the decreasing numbers of mid- to upper-middle class homeowners and major chain stores and the rise in deteriorating rental houses, scrap yards and crime in recent decades.
