Gang Awarness

Gangs are a community problem requiring a collaborative approach of intervention, prevention and suppression.  As with all crime related issues in a community, residents should be aware of and report crime and suspicious activity to law enforcement officials. Community involvement is as important as policing in the effort to prevent, control and stop crime.   For additional Gang Awarness information see https://gmbac.com/?page_id=2092.

The Greater Mission Bend Area Council would like to help coordinate an area wide Crime Watch Program.

The first step will be to put together an Email Communication List which will include the email address of a Crime Watch representative for every subdivision.

It makes no difference if your subdivision is not a current member of the Greater Mission Bend Area Council.

Even if there is not an active Crime Watch program in your subdivision, this is a way to share the information that you do have about criminals that may be targeting more than one subdivision.

By sharing crime related activity and a description of the people and vehicles involved with other subdivisions and the Fort Bend and Harris County Sheriff Departments, we can make a difference in our community and take at least a few criminals off the streets.

If your subdivision would like be included on this Crime Watch email list, please send the contact information for the Crime Watch Representative for your subdivision to CrimeWatch@gmbac.com.

GMBAC believes that communication and team work is the first step to fighting crime in our community.

Thanks
